Fleischmann's Yeast CFO pays $685K in Ladue

Christopher Bohnert and his wife, Jessica, bought a four-bedroom, two bath at 39 Rio Vista Dr. in Ladue for $685,000 from Katharine Smith on Aug. 3.

Ms. Smith paid $415,000 for the home in July 1994.

Nancy Gulick of Janet McAfee real estate was the agent for the sale. The listed price was $695,000.

Mr. Bohnert has been the Chief Financial Officer for Chesterfield-based Fleischmann's Yeast since Dec. 2005. He joined the ranks of British-based AB Mauri, which owns Fleischmann's and a variety of yeast and bakery products, after seven years as the Chief Financial Officer of Sigma Aldrich, a biochemical and organic chemical company.

He received his bachelor's in Accounting and Economics from the University of Missouri-Columbia (1988).

Ladue home sales have dropped five percent through July 2007 vs. the same period in 2006. The median price over that time period, however, has rose $58,000 from $640,000 in 2006 to $698,000 so far this year.

Median sales prices in Ladue has risen steadily since BlockShopper Metrics began keeping track in 1999.
