University dean sells 5BD in Webster Groves

Sally Lorino sold her five-bedroom, three bath in Webster Groves at 116 Jefferson Road to Edwin Anderson and his wife Katherine for $545,000 on Aug. 8.

Steven Breihan of Coldwell Banker Gundaker's Town & Country office listed the home as high as $624,900.

The 3,232 square foot home was built in 1923 and remodeled in 1981.

Ms. Lorino is the Associate Dean of the School of Communications at Webster University in St. Louis.

She earned her master's and M.B.A. at Webster after receiving her bachelor's and M.F.A. at Washington University.

Mr. Anderson is a pediatrician at Saint Louis University Hospital. He earned his M.D. from the Medical University of South Carolina.

Webster Groves home sales have fallen 16 percent through July 2007 vs. the same period in 2006. The median price over that time period has also slipped $5,000 from $214,000 in 2006 to $209,000 so far this year.

Median sales prices have risen steadily in Webster Groves since BlockShopper Metrics began keeping track in 1999.
