Victoria Hollenbeck bought a three-bedroom, two bath in Oakland at 17 Lamertin Lane for $345,000 from Michael Barton on July 30.

Mr. Barton bought the 1,540 square foot home in Sept. 2005 for $180,000. It has recently been remodeled and updated.

Ms. Hollenbeck, an agent in Coldwell Banker Gundaker's Fenton office, listed the home for $344,900. It was listed as high as $379,900 earlier this year.

Nestled between Kirkwood and Webster Groves, home sales in Oakland are up 64 percent through August versus the same time last year. Though the median sales price has fallen to $207,000 through August versus $240,000 in 2006, the sale at 17 Lamertin Lane represented the third highest sale price in Oakland so far this year.
