Dr. Ronald Chod and his wife, Cheri, sold a six-bedroom, 5.5 bath at 18 Brentmoor Park in Clayton for $2.185 million to Thomas Zupon on Sept. 5.

The Chods bought the home for $1.475 million in March 1999 from August A. Busch IV, the fourth-generation president and CEO of brewing giant Anheuser-Busch.

Holly Bry of Gladys Manion Inc. real estate was the agent for the sale. The listed price was $2.399 million.

Dr. Chodis the Chief Medical Officer for MDTablet, a St. Louis-based company that designs and manufactures electronic medical record systems for use by physicians and nurses.

He is also the president and founder of Physician Practice Strategies LLC, a consulting firm founded in 2003 that provides business development strategies and tactics to physician practices.

Dr. Chod has also served as an associate professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Washington University.

His lengthy medical career in St. Louis most recently included a stint as the VP for Medical Affairs for BJC Healthcare. He has also held various executive positions with the Washington University School of Medicine.

Dr. Chod received his M.D. from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas and his M.B.A. from the Olin School of Business at Washington University.

Clayton home sales have dropped 12 percent through August 2007 vs. the same period in 2006. The median price over that time period, however, has rose $44,000 from $500,000 in 2006 to $544,000 so far this year.

Median sales prices have risen steadily in Clayton since 2002, according to BlockShopper Metrics.
