Sorkis J. Webbe Jr. bought a three-bedroom, 2.5 bath at 344 Summerdale Ln. in Olivette for $295,000 from Susan Ehrenfest on Sept. 4.

Penny Miles of RE/MAX Gold real estate was the agent for the sale. The home was listed for $335,000 when it appeared on the market for August.

Webbe Jr. is the former general manager at Aqua Vin, a Mediterranean restaurant in Chesterfield best known for its broad selection of wine, ports and champagne.

The restaurant, which opened in 1997, closed on Sept. 1. Webbe Jr. served as the general manager for the restaurant from 2004 until its closing.

He has previously been a restaurant general manager in Las Vegas and has served as the Democratic Committeeman for the Seventh Ward in St. Louis.

Olivette home sales have risen 15 percent through August 2007 vs. the same period in 2006. The median sale price in Olivette has also risen $39,000 over that period, from $226,000 to $265,000.

Median sales prices rose steadily in Olivette from 2002 to 2005 before dropping slightly in 2006, according to BlockShopper Metrics.
