Pediatricians sell for $440K in Ballwin

Drs. Randy Agolia and Lilly Althaus sold their four-bedroom, 3.5 bath at 530 Castle Ridge Dr. in Ballwin for $440,000 to Krishnaswami Narayan and his wife, Narayan Suma, on Sept. 17.

Agolia and Althaus paid $264,537 for the home in July 1998, the same year it was built.

Stephanie Thompson of RE/MAX Properties West real estate sold the home for its listed price.

Dr. Agolia is a general pediatrician practicing for the St. John's Mercy Medical Group in suburban St. Louis. He sees patients in Hazelwood and O'Fallon.

He has also served as an instructor in clinical pediatrics as the Washington University School of Medicine.

He received his M.D. from the St. Louis University School of Medicine and served his residency at Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital in St. Louis.

Dr. Althaus has also practiced pediatric medicine in St. Louis as well. She too earned her M.D. at Saint Louis University.

The couple bought a four-bedroom, 4.5 bath at 18128 Big Pine Court in Wildwood for $787,500 on Aug. 8.

Ballwin home sales have fallen 13 percent through August 2007 vs. the same period in 2006. The median price over that time period has also slipped $8,000 from $228,000 in 2006 to $220,000 so far this year.

Median sales prices have risen steadily in Ballwin since BlockShopper Metrics began keeping track in 1999.
