Drs. Gregory and Julie Messner sold their four-bedroom, four bath at 10357 Lylewood Dr. in Frontenac for $605,000 to Sangnu Zhang and his wife, Qi M. Hua, on Sept. 18.

The Messners paid $629,000 for the property in July 2006.

Joel Svoboda of RE/MAX Exclusive real estate was the agent for the sale. The home was listed for $674,900 when it appeared on the market in March.

Dr. Gregory Messner is a cardiothoracic surgeon practicing in Bridgeton, Saint Louis and St. Peters.

He previously worked at the Texas Heart Institute, specializing in adult cardiac surgery and general thoracic surgery for the Houston clinic.

He received his M.D. from the AT Still University Medical School, a graduate school with campuses in Mesa, Ariz. and Kirksville, Mo.

He completed his residency at the Texas Heart Institute in 2006.

Dr. Julie Messner is a pediatrician at Kids First Pediatrics in Richmond Heights. She previously practiced pediatrics in Houston.

Frontenac home sales have risen 35 percent through August 2007 vs. the same period in 2006. The median price over that time period, however, has slipped $140,000 from $745,000 in 2006 to $605,000 so far this year.

Median sales prices have risen steadily in Frontenac since 2000, according to BlockShopper Metrics.
