Elder law attorney buys in Sappington

Daniel Reuter and his wife, Patricia, bought a two-bedroom, three bath in Sappington at 10159 Tanbridge Rd. for $393,000 from William Lee III and his wife, Carol, on Sept. 25.

The Lees bought the home new from Taylor Morley Homes for $421,700 in Oct. 2003.

Ralph Fisher of Re/Max Properties West listed the 1,794 square foot home.

Mr. Reuter is an attorney with St. Louis Elder Law, LLC, which specializes in helping elderly residents with legal issues such as estate planning, probate and trust administration.

He earned his J.D. from the Saint Louis University School of Law.

Home sales in Sappington are down 23 percent so far this year versus last. Though fewer homes have been sold, those that sold are bringing slightly higher prices. The median sale price is up nine percent to $182,000.

According to BlockShopper Metrics, median sales prices in Sappington rose steadily from 1999 to 2002 before leveling off. The sale at 12523 Sunset Dr. was the second highest price paid for a home in Sappington this year.
