Attorney, financial consultant sell in Creve Coeur

Geetha Sant and her husband, Timothy, sold their four-bedroom, 3.5 bath at 23 Spoede Woods St. in Creve Coeur for $600,000 to John and Darcie Sheehan on Sept. 10.

The Sants paid $330,000 for the home in Aug. 1997. It was built in 1930.

Gai Lowell of Janet McAfee Inc. real estate was the agent for the sale. The home was listed for $689,900 when it appeared on the market in May.

Mrs. Sant is a partner at The Stolar Partnership LLP, a St. Louis-based law firm. She specializes in corporate law, executive compensation and intellectual property law for the firm. She has also served on the faculty in Nonprofit Management at the Washington University Graduate Program.

She received her J.D. from the Washington University School of Law in Saint Louis and her bachelor's in Political Science and English from Duke University.

Mr. Sant is a senior vice president, shareholder and consultant at the Summit Strategies Group, a St. Louis-based financial consulting firm. He specializes in consulting work on endowments and foundations, corporate and public pension funds and hospitals. He joined the company in 2000.

Prior to joining Summit, he was the manager of Pension Investment at Anheuser-Busch Companies. He has also worked for Hammond Associates Institutional Fund Consultants and Boatmen's Trust Company.

He received his M.B.A. in Finance from Washington University's John M. Olin School of Business in St. Louis and his bachelor's in Economics from Duke University.

The Sants paid $1.675 million for a seven-bedroom, 6.5 bath at 425 Steeplechase Lane in Frontenac on June 21.

Creve Coeur home sales have dropped 13 percent through September 2007 vs. the same period in 2006. The median price over that time period, however, has rose $82,000 from $286,000 in 2006 to $368,000 so far this year.

Median sales prices in Creve Coeur climbed steadily until 2004 before dropping dramatically by 2006, according to BlockShopper Metrics, which began keeping track in 1999.
