Illinois asbestos lawyer spends $899K in Clayton

Mr. Angelides
Nicholas J. Angelides and his wife, Sarah, bought a four-bed, 2.5 bath at 111 Aberdeen Pl. in Clayton for $899,000 from James and Pamela Grant on Sept. 24.
The Grants paid $372,500 for the home in June 1991. The home was built in 1929.
Mr. Angelides is a senior associate in the East Alton, Ill., office of international law firm Simmons Cooper LLC. He has specialized in the representation of victims of mesothelioma and asbestos exposure for the firm since 2003.
East Alton is approximately 28 miles north of St. Louis.
He has also represented victims of sexual abuse, medical malpractice, consumer fraud and catastrophic injuries in Missouri and Illinois state and federal courts during his career.
He received his J.D. from the Saint Louis University School of Law (1999) and his bachelor's from Kenyon College in Gambier, Ohio.
Clayton home sales
have dropped 24 percent through September 2007 vs. the same period in 2006. The median price over that time period, however, has rose $102,000 from $498,000 in 2006 to $600,000 so far this year.
Median sales prices have risen steadily in Clayton since 2002, according to
BlockShopper Metrics.
