Timothy J. Venturella and his wife, Shelley, sold their four-bedroom, 2.5 bath at 13140 Barrett Meadows Dr. in Des Peres for $410,000 to Vincent and Bridget Rice on Sept. 13.

The Venturellas paid $396,000 for the home in June 2003.

Sheryl Deskin of RE/MAX Properties West real estate was the agent for the sale. The home was listed for $429,000 when it appeared on the market in June.

Mr. Venturella is a business development manager for the St. Louis-based Guarantee Electrical Company, which he joined in Aug. 2002. He is in charge of new business opportunities for the company and manages its marketing and public relations programs.

He previously worked in sales and marketing with Centric Group LLC, a St. Louis-based company formerly known as the Enterprise Capital Group. He has also served as the vice president of BoxCo Industries, an operating division of the Centric Group.

He earned his bachelor's in Communications and Marketing from Saint Louis University.

Des Peres home sales have dropped two percent through September 2007 vs. the same period in 2006. The median price over that time period has also fallen $18,000 from $373,000 in 2006 to $356,000 so far this year.

After peaking in 2004, median sales prices in Des Peres dropped in 2005 before rising again in 2006, according to BlockShopper Metrics, which began keeping track in 1999.
