Dental hygienist buys in Eureka

Becky Paoli and her husband, Eric, bought a four-bedroom, 3.5 bath at 17340 Hilltop Ridge Rd. in Eureka for $292,000 from Charles and Carol Pozzo on Sept. 27.

The Pozzos paid $196,995 for the home in June 1999, the same year it was built.

Janet Zerler of Coldwell Banker Gundaker real estate was the agent for the sale. The home was listed for $324,000 when it appeared on the market in May.

Mrs. Paoli is a dental hygienist for Dr. Robert Rothenberg, D.D.S. Family Dentistry in Manchester. She joined the practice in 2000 and is a graduate of the St. Louis Community College Dental Hygiene Program.

Eureka home sales have fallen 16 percent through September 2007 vs. the same period in 2006. The median price over that time period has also slipped $11,000 from $240,000 in 2006 to $229,000 so far this year.

Median sales prices rose steadily in Eureka from 1999 until 2005 before dropping off in 2006, according to BlockShopper Metrics began keeping track in 1999.
