Victor H. Lewitt and his wife, Marjorie, bought a four-bedroom, 3.5 bath at 148 Ladue Farm Ct. in Chesterfield for $595,000 from Jerold and Theda Lambert.

The Lamberts paid $620,000 for the home in Nov. 2000.

The Cartus Financial Corporation facilitated the sale.

Jill Malley of Laura McCarthy real estate was the agent for the sale. The home was listed for $635,000 when it appeared on the market in April.

Mr. Lewitt is a partner in the St. Louis law firm Stinson Morrison Hecker LLP. He specializes in real estate law for the firm, including real estate development and construction law.

He previously worked for Blumenfeld, Kaplan & Sandweiss.

He earned his J.D. from Washington University (1982) and his bachelor's from Rice University (1979).

Mr. Lambert has served as vice president and senior counsel for Charter Fiberlink, a St. Louis-based subsidiary of cable television, high-speed internet access and telephone services provider Charter Communications.

He has also served as the associate general counsel for Bresnan Communications, a New York-based cable television provider which services Colorado, Montana, Wyoming, and Utah.

Mrs. Lambert has practiced law in St. Louis, and has served as general counsel and Director of Legal Services for the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.

She earned her J.D. from the University of Houston.

Chesterfield home sales have fallen 19 percent through September 2007 vs. the same period in 2006. The median price over that time period, however, has rose $6,000 from $336,000 in 2006 to $343,000 so far this year.

Median sales prices have risen steadily in Chesterfield since BlockShopper Metrics began keeping track in 1999.
