Leonard Fiedler and his wife, Janet, sold their three-bedroom, three bath at 4920 Dorsie Dr. in Concord for $220,000 to Robert and Christine Cronin on Sept. 19.
The Fielders paid $84,000 for the home in June 1983. It was built in 1963.
Carl Hogan of Coldwell Banker Gundaker real estate was the agent for the sale. The home was listed for $264,900 when it appeared on the market in Sept. 2006.
Mr. Fiedler is the Senior Vice President for Ministry Resource Development for the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod Foundation in Saint Louis. He has held the position with the LCMS Foundation since Aug. 2004.
The Cape Girardeau native previously served as the Vice President for Development for the Concordia Seminary in Saint Louis from 1995 until 2004. He also served in various positions with the LCMS Foundation in the mid-80s and early 90s, and was the principal of St. Paul's College and High School in Concordia.
He received his master's in Educational Administration from Rollins University in Winter Park, Fla., and his bachelor's from Concordia Teachers College in Seward, Neb.
Mrs. Fiedler has served as the Director of Activities at Meramec Bluffs, a senior living community in Ballwin affiliated with Lutheran Senior Services. She is also a graduate of Concordia.
The couple married in 1965.
Concord home sales have dropped 16 percent through September 2007 vs. the same period in 2006. The median price over that time period, however, has risen $5,000 from $175,000 in 2006 to $180,000 so far this year.
Median sales prices in Concord rose steadily from 1999 until 2005 before dropping off in 2006, according to BlockShopper Metrics.
