Marcella Rolwes and her husband, Michael, bought a three-bedroom, 2.5 bath at 9036 Morning Star Trail in Crestwood for $265,000 from Mark and Kathleen Oldfield on Sept. 11.
Susan Torbeck of Coldwell Banker Gundaker real estate was the agent for the sale. The home was listed for $275,000.
Mrs. Rolwes is the Assistant Curator of the Visual Resources Collection at Washington University's Department of Art History and Archaeology in St. Louis.
She received her master's in Art from Washington University (2002).
Crestwood home sales have dropped 17 percent through September 2007 vs. the same period in 2006. The median price over that time period has also fallen $2,000 from $180,000 in 2006 to $178,000 so far this year.
Median sales prices in Crestwood have risen steadily since 1996, according to BlockShopper Metrics, which began keeping track in 1999.
