Dr. Medhat Osman and his wife, Sherry, bought a four-bedroom, four bath at 1766 Frontenac Woods Lane in Frontenac for $690,000 from Dr. Albert Jolivert and his wife, Liliane, on Oct. 23.
Christopher Bray of Bray Real Estate was the agent for the sale. The home was listed for $749,900 when it appeared on the market in August.
Dr. Osman is an associate professor and the Director of Nuclear Medicine in the Department of Radiology at the Saint Louis University School of Medicine.
He received both his Ph.D. and master's degree from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore. He earned his M.D. from the Assiut University Hospital in Egypt.
Dr. Jolivert practices internal medicine at Touchette Regional Hospital in East St. Louis, Ill.
Home sales in Frontenac are up 29 percent through September of 2007 versus the same time period last year. Median sale prices, however, are off 25 percent to $605,000. Despite the drop, Frontenac still boasts the fifth highest median sale price in St. Louis County, behind Huntleigh, Ladue, Town & Country and Clarkson Valley.
Other than dips in 2000 and 2002, median home sale prices in Frontenac have risen steadily since BlockShopper Metrics began keeping track in 1999.
