Attorney spends $350K for Wildwood 3BD

Thomas M. Payne III and his wife, Julie, bought a three-bedroom, two bath at 2140 Dartmouth Gate Ct. in Wildwood for $350,000 from Robert and Susan Freihoff on Oct. 12.

The Freihoffs paid $190,480 for the home in Dec. 1995, the same year it was built.

Connie Lieber of Assist 2 Sell Sellers and Buyers Advantage real estate was the agent for the sale. The home was listed for $400,000 when it appeared on the market in July.

Mr. Payne is an attorney at Timothy E. Hayes and Associates, a St. Louis law firm. The St. Louis native received his J.D. from St. Louis University (2005) and his bachelor's from Washington University in St. Louis (2002).

Though homes sales are down 23 percent through September versus the same time frame last year, Wildwood is still the tenth most active market in the St. Louis area. Median home sale prices in Wildwood are up a fraction to $360,000 from $357,000 in 2006.

Median home sale prices have been rising steadily in Wildwood since 1999, when BlockShopper Metrics began tracking data.
