Michael W. Walsh and his wife, Lisa, bought a four-bedroom, three bath at 500 Susan Rd. in Oakville for $350,000 from Dr. George Ulett and his wife, Pearl, on Nov. 7.
Mr. Walsh is the chairman of the board at Eagle Insurance Service. The St. Louis native has also served as the president of the Eagle Bank and Trust Company, a job he was promoted to in 1986.
He is a graduate of Benedictine College (1980) and Christian Brothers College ('76).
Dr. Ulett is a former professor of psychiatry at the University of Missouri School of Medicine and an acupuncture specialist for the Missouri Institute of Mental Health. He has also served on the staff at the Washington University Medical School in St. Louis and as the medical director of Malcolm Bliss Hospital in St. Louis.
He earned his M.D. from the University of Oregon and his bachelor's from Stanford University.
Oakville home sales have fallen 23 percent through September 2007 vs. the same period in 2006. The median price over that time period has also slipped $16,000 from $226,000 in 2006 to $210,000 so far this year.
Median sales prices have risen steadily in Oakville since BlockShopper Metrics began keeping track in 1999.
