Kelly Waters and her husband, Jack, bought a three-bedroom, two bath at 7021 Waterman Ave. in University City for $347,000 from Christopher and Deborah Dysart on Nov. 8.

The Dysarts paid $225,000 for the home in Feb. 1999.

Wayne Norwood of Gladys Manion Inc. real estate was the agent for the sale. The home was listed for $379,000.

Mrs. Waters is the co-founder and a managing partner of Waters Group Global, a consulting firm based in St. Louis that focuses on small and medium sized companies. A veteran of business for more than two decades, she is also a frequent national speaker on the topic of business growth and expansion.

Mr. Waters is also a co-founder of the company and serves as a partner with the firm. He is also a former U.S. Navy test pilot, and the founder of Burnegro LLC, a flight test service company.

Both the Waters Group Global and Burnegro LLC are run out of the Waters' home at 7021 Waterman Ave.

Though University City has been the third most active market so far this year, according to BlockShopper Metrics, home sales are down 14 percent through September versus the same time frame in 2006. Median sale prices are lower by 24 percent to $145,000 versus last year's median of $195,000.

After a dip in 2000, median home sales prices in University City rose steadily before falling back again in 2004. A recovery in 2005 preceded a sharp drop in 2006.
