OB/GYN buys Maryland Heights 4BD from Baptist preacher

Dr. Jessica Bowers and her husband, Mark, bought a four-bedroom, 3.5 bath in Maryland Heights at 11437 Pineview Crossing Dr. for $309,900 from the Reverend Dr. Jesse T. Williams and his wife, Gelaine, on Nov. 29.

The Williams bought the house new for $238,666 from Taylor Morley Inc. in June 1999.

Jerry Archable of Golden Delta Realty got his full asking price for the home. It was originally listed as high as $334,900 before price reductions.

Dr. Bowers is an obstetrician and gynecologist within the SSM Healthcare system. She earned her M.D. from the Saint Louis University School of Medicine.

Dr. Jesse T. Williams is the pastor-elect at the Covenant Avenue Baptist Church of Harlem in New York City. He previously served as pastor at the Washington Tabernacle Baptist Church in St. Louis.

Dr. Williams earned both a doctor's and master's in divinity from the Eden Theological Seminary in Webster Groves, where he was a member of the faculty. He also holds bachelor's in mechanical engineering and business administration from the University of Kansas.

Home sales in Maryland Heights fell 20 percent through Nov. 2007 versus 2006. The median home sale price however, held steady at $155,000.

The median home sale price in Maryland Heights has been rising steadily since BlockShopper Metrics began tracking data in 1999.
