Dr. Xiang Tang and his wife, Dr. Jimin Dang, bought a four-bedroom, 2.5 bath in Clayton at 7439 Parkdale Ave. from Dr. Jeffrey Neil and his wife, Dr. Micki Klearman, on Nov. 21.

The transaction was facilitated by Sirva Relocation LLC.

Neil and Klearman bought the home in 1988 for $260,000.

Prudential Alliance's Rose Lynn Sokol listed the 2,292 square foot home for $549,000. It was listed as high as $575,000 back in June.

Xiang Tang, Ph.D., is an associate professor of mathematics at Washington University. He earned his Ph.D. from the University of California-Berkeley.

Jimin Ding, Ph.D., is also an associate professor of mathematics and statistics at Washington University. She earned her doctorate from the University of California-Davis after graduating from Peking University in China.

Dr. Neil practices pediatric neurology. His work at St. Louis Children's Hospital earned him the designation as a "Best Doctor in America" in the August 2007 issue of St. Louis Magazine. Dr. Neil earned his M.D. from Washington University and holds a Ph.D. in neuroscience.

Dr. Klearman practices rheumatology and has served within the BJC Medical Group as well as an associate professor of clinical medicine at the Washington University Medical School.

She earned her M.D. from Wash U after receiving her B.S. from Stanford University.

Clayton home sales have dropped 43 percent through November 2007 vs. the same period in 2006. The median price over that time period, however, has risen $37,000 from $511,000 in 2006 to $548,000.

Median sales prices have risen steadily in Clayton since 2002, according to BlockShopper Metrics.
