Timothy Drury and his wife, Cynthia, bought a five-bedroom, 6.5 bath at 15 Squires Lane in Huntleigh for $4.6 million from Peggy L. Bergmann on Nov. 19.
Bergmann paid $3.6 million for the home in April 1998.
Anne Ryan of Coldwell Banker Gundaker real estate was the agent for the sale. The home was listed for $3.95 million.
Stafford Manion with Gladys Manion, Inc. represented the Drurys in the transaction.
Mr. Drury is the president of the St. Louis-based Drury Development Corporation, the company that develops property for area hotel giant Drury Hotels.
He is also a board member at WestBridge Bank and Trust and Boulevard Bancshares Inc.
Mr. Drury is the son of Charles Drury, the chairman of Drury Hotels, and brother of Chuck Drury, the president of the company.
Home sales in Huntleigh rose 57 percent through Nov. 30, 2007 vs. the same period in 2006. The median price over that time period, however, has fallen $300,000 from $1.4 million in 2006 to $1.1 million.
According to BlockShopper Metrics, home sales peaked in 2002 before dropping dramatically in 2003. They rose steadily again until 2006, when sales dropped again.
