Mark Mehlman and his wife, Debra, sold their four-bedroom, four bath at 88 Lake Forest Dr. in Richmond Heights for $1.327 million to Robert and Tracee Holmes on Jan. 9.
The Mehlmans paid $465,000 for the home in Aug. 1989.
Mr. Mehlman is a principal with the Manlin/Mehlman Development Company, a custom home builder based in Clayton. The company has properties in a number of communities in the St. Louis area, including Clayton, Creve Coeur, Frontenac, Ladue and University City.
He founded Mark S. Mehlman Realty, Inc., in 1971. The company later became Manlin/Mehlman.
Mrs. Mehlman is a real estate agent for Mehlman Realty.
Mr. Mehlman's business partner, Michael Manlin, sold a five-bedroom, 4.5 bath in Olivette at 160 Stoneleigh Towers St. for $1.095 million on Aug. 8, 2006.
Home sales in Richmond Heights were down about nine percent in 2007 versus 2006. Median home sale prices also slipped, down four percent or $9,000 from an average of $225,000 to $216,000.
According to BlockShopper Metrics, median home sales have been rising steadily since 1999 before dipping slightly in 2006.
