OB-GYN couple spends $670K in Webster Groves

Dr. Karen Voegtle and her husband, Dr. Donald Ward, bought a four-bedroom, 2.5 bath at 421 Baker Ave. in Webster Groves for $670,000 from Michael and Bary Rollings on Jan. 11.
The Rollingses paid $653,000 for the home in April 2005.
Donna Cronin of Keller Williams Realty was the agent for the sale. The home was listed for $715,000 when it appeared on the market in September.
Dr. Voegtle is an obstetrician-gynecologist at Women's Health Care Inc. in Chesterfield and O'Fallon. She joined the clinic in 2002.
She earned her M.D. from Southern Illinois University before completing her post-graduate training at St. Louis University.
Dr. Ward is an OB-GYN who practices in O'Fallon and St. Louis.
Home sales in Webster Groves dropped 15 percent through Nov. 30, 2007 vs. the same period in 2006. The median price over that time period also dropped $3,000, from $208,000 to $205,000.
According to BlockShopper Metrics, median home sales prices in Webster Groves have risen steadily since 1999.
