Dr. Phillip G. Apprill sold a three-bedroom, 1.5 bath in Kirkwood at 417 Fairwood Lane for $355,000 on Jan. 15 to Kyle Seelbach and his wife, Laura.

Dr. Apprill paid $305,000 for the home in Feb. 2002.

Deborah Doyle of Laura McCarthy's Kirkwood office listed the 1,932 square foot home for $375,000.

Dr. Apprill is a cardiologist in the Clayton office of the Metro Heart Group. He's also the director of the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory at St. Mary's Health Center.

Dr. Apprill earned his medical degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia.

Mr. Seelbach has worked as an associate in the Chicago office of law firm Kirkland & Ellis. He earned both his undergraduate and J.D. from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

Mrs. Seelbach has worked in public relations in Chicago for firm of Edelman and Fleishman-Hillard. She too is a graduate of the University if Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

The Seelbachs sold their condo in Chicago at 1322 S. Prairie Ave., Unit #604, for $422,000 on Jan. 16.

Home sales in Kirkwood dropped 26 percent through Nov. 30, 2007 vs. the same period in 2006. The median price over that time period, however, went up $6,000, from $205,000 to $211,000.

Median sales prices in Kirkwood rose steadily from 1999 to 2005 before dropping in 2006, according to BlockShopper Metrics, which began keeping track in 1999.
