Jeffrey Bland and his wife, Karen, bought a four-bedroom, 2.5 bath at 7 Layton Terrace in Richmond Heights for $650,000 from David and Sheila Clayton on Jan. 17.
The Claytons paid $585,000 for the house in Jan. 2007.
Mary Hummel of The Kelsey Group real estate was the agent for the sale. The home was listed for $659,900.
Mr. Bland is an associate attorney in the St. Louis office of Midwestern law firm Husch & Eppenberger, LLC. He joined the firm in Oct. 2007 and specializes in real estate finance, commercial finance, land use and development financing law and tax credit law.
He has previously held clerkships in Boston, Minneapolis and St. Paul, Minn. He earned his J.D. from Northeastern University School of Law in Boston (2001) and a master's in Public Policy from Duke University (1998). He earned his bachelor's in Political Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison ('92).
Home sales in Richmond Heights were down about nine percent in 2007 versus 2006. Median home sale prices also slipped, down four percent or $9,000 from an average of $225,000 to $216,000.
According to BlockShopper Metrics, median home sales have been rising steadily since 1999 before dipping slightly in 2006.
