Former NFL defensive back Aeneas Williams and his wife, Tracy, have listed a six-bedroom, eight bath at 746 High Hampton Rd. in Ladue for $2.45 million.

Janet McAffee's Christine Thompson and Margaret Hanser are listing the 6,600 square foot home.

Mr. and Mrs Williams bought the home from Rehnquist Design and Build in 2004 for $2.174 million. It was built in 2001.

For 14 seasons, Mr. Williams was a defensive back for the St. Louis Rams and the Arizona Cardinals. During a career in which he earned trips to eight Pro Bowls, he amassed 705 tackles, 55 interceptions and scored nine touchdowns.

Born in New Orleans, Williams attended Southern University, where he didn't suit up for football until his senior year. That year he led Division 1-AA in interceptions and was subsequently drafted in the third round of the 1991 NFL Draft by the Arizona organization, then known as the Phoenix Cardinals. He quickly earned a reputation as one of the better cornerback in the league, securing six straight Pro Bowl selections from 1994-99.

On the strength of his two interceptions, Williams went on to help the team earn its first playoff victory in 50 years when the Cardinals defeated the Dallas Cowboys 20-7 in 1998.

After being named to the NFL 1990s All-Decade Team, he was traded to the St. Louis Rams in 2001 and helped the team get to its second Super Bowl in three years. Williams retired after the 2004 season. He now owns several auto dealerships in northern Louisiana.
