Dr. Matthew Ciorba and his wife, Vondelinde, bought a four-bedroom, two bath at 1 Ricardo Lane in Ladue for $415,000 from David and Elizabeth Grobb on Feb. 5.
The Grobbs paid $330,000 for the home in Sept. 2002. Sirva Relocation facilitated the sale.
Maria Elias of Coldwell Banker Gundaker real estate was the agent for the sale. The home was listed for $469,900 when it appeared on the market in August.
Dr. Ciorba is on the faculty in the Inflammatory Bowel Disease Program at Washington University's School of Medicine in St. Louis. He earned his M.D. from the University of Iowa's Carver College of Medicine and completed his fellowship at Washington University and Barnes Jewish Hospital.
Home sales in Ladue dropped 10 percent in 2007. The median sale price also dropped $3,000 last year, from $707,000 in 2006 to $704,000 in 2007.
Median home sales prices in Ladue rose steadily from 1999-2004 before dropping in 2005 and recovering again in 2006, according to BlockShopper Metrics.
