Dr. Abdul Naushad and his wife, Wajiha, bought a four-bedroom, six bath at 325 Conway Hill Rd. in Town and Country for $2.2 million from James Halpern and his wife, Ruth, on Feb. 19.

The Halperns paid $1.412 million for the property in Dec. 1997.

Jiggs Dunn of Prudential Alliance Realtors was the agent for the sale. The home was listed for $2.475 million.

Dr. Naushad is an anesthesiologist at the Advanced Pain Center in Poplar Bluff. The clinic also has an office in Cape Girardeau.

Mr. Halpern is the owner and president of Bridgeton-based Cardinal Building Materials, which sells housing materials to building and remodeling contractors.

Home sales in Town and Country dropped 21 percent in 2007. The median price, however, rose $25,000, from $640,000 to $665,000.

Median sales prices in Town and Country risen steadily since 2000, according to BlockShopper Metrics.
