Marc Skale and his wife, Christina, bought a five-bedroom, four bath at 12334 Carberry Place in Town and Country for $660,000 from Patricia Durkin on March 11.
Anne Ryan of Coldwell Banker Gundaker real estate was the agent for the sale. The home was listed for $649,000.
Mr. Skale is the owner of Martin Dermer's Racing Digest, a publication that has provided odds for horse racing events nationwide every day for the past 20 years. He took over the publication's handicapping responsibilities in 2003, when his stepfather, Martin Dermer, passed away. Dermer founded the digest and was the handicapping expert for both the Chicago Tribune and Chicago Sun-Times.
Mr. Skale is also a consultant at Towers Perrin, a global professional services firm with an office in St. Louis.
Home sales in Town & Country dropped 17 percent in 2007. The median sales price rose by two percent, from $652,000 in 2006 to $665,000 in 2007.
