Real estate agent sells in Chesterfield

Sondra J. Baron and her husband, Stanford Roodman, sold their three-bedroom, 2.5 bath at 1032 Specklewood Manor Ct. in Chesterfield for $435,000 to Richard and Julie Hoover on April 23.

Baron and Roodman paid $338,470 for the house in 2001, the same year it was built.

Baron is a real estate professional at Dielmann Sotheby's International Realty in St. Louis. She has been selling homes in the area for the past 28 years.

Baron was the agent for the sale. The home was listed for $548,900 when it appeared on the market in Aug. 2007.

Prior to becoming a real estate agent, she worked in modeling and interior design. She attended Washington University in St. Louis and the Ray Vogue School of Interior Design in Chicago.

Home sales in Chesterfield have risen 37 percent thus far in 2008. The median sale price, however, has dropped $5,000 this year, from $330,000 in 2007 to $325,000 in 2008.
