Tommy L. Cadwell and his wife, Nancy, bought a two-bedroom, 2.5 bath at 2243 Derby Way in Crystal Lake Park for $700,000 from Jo Anne G. Crider on April 24.
The 4,183 square foot house was built in 1985.
Tina Niemann of Prudential Alliance Realtors was the agent for the sale. The home was listed for $725,000.
Mr. Cadwell serves as a director at Evergreen Solar, a Mass.-based company that develops solar power technology. He's held the position since April 2007.
He also serves as the president and CEO of Confluence Solar, Inc., a private company that provides substrate materials to the solar industry.
Previously, he served as executive vice chairman of the board of directors at Integrated Materials, Inc., a manufacturer of pure polysilicon products, where he also served as president and CEO. He also served as president and CEO of Tecstar.
Mr. Cadwell received his M.B.A. from Saint Louis University and his bachelor's in civil engineering from the University of Missouri-Rolla.
Home sales in Crystal Lake Park have risen 33.3 percent thus far in 2008. The median sales price, however, has dropped from $376,000 in 2007 to $238,000 thus far this year.
