Dr. Coles E. L'Hommedieu and his wife, Leslie, bought a six-bedroom, 2.5 bath at 104 W. Jackson Rd. in Webster Groves for $560,000 from Jason M. Blake and his wife, Elizabeth, on April 25.

The Blakes paid $515,000 for the home in Nov. 2007. The 2,764 square foot home was built in 1878.

Dorcas Dunlop of Presidential Advantage Realtors was the agent for the sale. The home was listed for $579,000.

Dr. L'Hommedieu is a board certified orthopedic surgeon at Signature Health Services, Inc. in St. Louis. He is also an attending physician at St. Anthony's Medical Center.

He earned his M.D. from Southern Illinois University.

Home sales in Webster Groves have risen 14.3 percent thus far in 2008. The median sale price has dropped from $210,000 in 2007 to $179,000 so far this year.
