The 2,950 square foot house was built in 1940.
Maria Elias of Coldwell Banker Gundaker real estate was the agent for the sale. The home was listed for $685,000 when it appeared on the market in April 2007.
Barnhart is the founder and managing director of B.A. Barnhart & Associates, a Clayton-based financial planning firm. He's also worked as an independent business reporter with KSDK-TV Channel 5.
He previously worked as vice president of investments and an assistant branch manager with A.G. Edwards.
Home sales in Ladue have increased 2.6 percent thus far in 2008. The median sale price has also risen $11,000, from $714,000 in 2007 to $725,000 so far this year.
