Former payroll co. owner sells in Clarkson Valley for $431K

Angela C. Smiley and her husband, Michael, sold their four-bedroom, 2.5 bath at 27 Forest Club Dr. in Clarkson Valley for $431,000 to Santa Ana Holdings LLC on May 1.

The Smileys paid $241,000 for the property in March 1993.

The 3,910-square-foot house was built in 1975.

Mrs. Smiley was the owner of the now non-operational American Payroll Service in St. Louis.

Home sales Clarkson Valley are down 26 percent in 2008 versus 2007. The median sales price is down from $607,000 in 2007 to $538,000 so far this year.
