Dr. Garrett C. Burris and his wife, Margaret, bought a three-bedroom, 2.5 bath home at 332 Solar Terrace Ct. in Chesterfield for $550,000 from Michael P. Genovese and his wife, Marjorie, on June 25.
The Genoveses paid $463,689 for the property in Jan. 2004. The 2,754-square-foot house was built in 2003.
Carla Borgard of Coldwell Banker Gundaker real estate was the agent for the sale. The home was listed for $599,900.
Dr. Burris is a pediatric neurologist with Child Neurology Associates in Chesterfield. He is also affiliated with St. Lukes Hospital in Chesterfield.
He received his M.D. from the Louisiana State University School of Medicine. He completed his pediatric residency at Naval Medical Center in Portsmouth, Va., his fellowship in neurology at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center in New York and his fellowship in pediatric neurology at Medical College of Virginia Hospitals.
Home sales in Chesterfield are up 37 percent thus far in 2008. The median sales price, however, has dropped $5,000 this year, from $330,000 in 2007 to $325,000 in 2008.
