Michael T. Rechan and his wife, Lauren, sold their three-bedroom, two bath home at 8111 Westmoreland Ave. in Clayton for $1.25 million to L. Carr Trovillion and his wife, Ellen, on June 13.

The Rechans paid $425,000 for the property in July 2003. The 2,362-square-foot house was built in 1951.

Mr. Rechan serves as executive VP of strategic alliances at Vibe Solutions Group, a web hosting company based in St. Louis.

He previously co-founded GlobalStreams.com in 1999, a provider of video communications hardware and software in St. Louis. He served as the CEO of GlobalStreams until the company was sold to Play Streaming Media Group in Feb. 2001.

Prior to his work in technology, Mr. Rechan worked in media, as founder and publisher of a men's magazine sold to the Journal Register Co. He was also a professional sports agent.

Mr. Rechan received his J.D. and M.B.A. from Washington University in St. Louis and his bachelor's from Brown University.

The Rechans bought a three-bedroom home at 120 N. Forsyth Blvd. in Clayton for $522,500 on June 16.

Trovillion has served as vice president and CEO of Drury Inns, Inc., a St. Louis-based corporation that operates over 120 hotels in 19 states.

Home sales in Clayton have increased 5.6 percent thus far in 2008. The median sales price, however, has dropped from $511,000 in 2007 to $376,000 so far this year.
