Dale W. Hood bought a four-bedroom, 2.5-bath home at 537 Meadow Creek Lane in Warson Woods' Woodlawn Farm for $475,000 from John T. Farrell and his wife, Martha, on July 24.
The 2,660-square-foot house was built in 1980.
Hood serves as associate circuit judge of the 21st Circuit Court in St. Louis County. He was appointed the position in Dec. 2005 by Gov. Matt Blunt. He has been a family court judge since his appointment.
He previously served as an assistant prosecuting attorney in the St. Louis Prosecuting Attorney's office.
He received both his B.S. degree and his M.S. degree from University of Missouri-Columbia. He obtained a J.D. from the St. Louis University School of Law.
Hood is a veteran of Operation Desert Storm and has a military strategy diploma from the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College at Fort Leavenworth.
Mr. Farrell serves as vice president of corporate human resources at Anheuser-Busch.
Prior to his current position, he was vice president of employee benefits for the company.
Home sales in Warson Woods have increased three percent thus far in 2008. The median sales price, however, has dropped from $348,000 in 2007 to $322,000 so far this year.
