Frederic M. Bloom and his wife, Krissa, sold a three-bedroom, 1.5-bath home at 7541 Cornell Ave. in University City for $302,250 to John A. Ellis and his wife, Gena, on July 24.
The Blooms paid $310,000 for the property in May 2005.
The 1,787-square-foot house was built in 1924.
Mr. Bloom is an assistant professor of law at the Saint Louis University School of Law. He teaches civil procedure, constitutional law and federal courts.
He has a B.A. from Washington University and holds a J.D. from Stanford University Law School.
Home sales in are University City down 18 percent thus far in 2008 versus 2007. The median sale price, however, is down 19.3 percent, from $160,000 in 2007 to $129,000 so far this year.
