Sally A. Goldman and her husband, Kenneth, sold a four-bedroom, 2.5-bath home at 840 Audubon Dr. in Clayton's Moorlands for $642,180 to Bryan C. Hayden and his wife, Tanya, on July 8.

The 2,850-square-foot house was built in 1932.

Mrs. Goldman, Ph.D., is a professor of engineering at Washington University in St. Louis. She also serves as the computational learning theory area editor for the Journal of Computer and Systems Science and on the editorial board for the Journal of Machine Learning Research. She is currently on a two-year sabbatical in Mountain View, Calif., at Google, Inc.

Most recently, Mrs. Goldman was the associate chair of the department of computer science and engineering at WUSTL. She has also served on several university committees, including the Washington University chapter of the Society of Women Engineers and the Association of Women Faculty.

She received her Sc.B. from Brown University and received her S.M and Ph.D. degrees from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Mr. Goldman, Ph.D., is an associate professor in the department of computer science and engineering at Washington University.

The Goldmans recently published a book, A Practical Guide to Data Structures and Algorithms using Java.

Home sales in Clayton have decreased 28.5 percent thus far in 2008. The median sale price dropped from $511,000 in 2007 to $455,000 so far this year.
