Investment broker buys U City 4BD

Ante Trinidad and his wife, Edna, bought a four-bedroom, two bath home at 7023 Pershing Ave. in University City's West Portland Place for $310,000 from Adina H. Frydman and his wife, Avram, on July 29.

The Frydmans paid $305,000 for the property in June 2005.

The 1,998-square-foot house was built in 1918.

Mr. Trinidad has worked as a commercial investment broker with Stevenson Real Estate in Glendale, Calif.

Prior to joining the firm in 1996, he worked for other Glendale-based realty firms. Earlier, he was a project/loan analyst for Philippine National Bank in Manila.

He received a B.S. in management engineering from Ateneo de Manila and a master's degree from the University of Southern California.

The Trinidads also own property in the Los Angeles area.

Home sales in University City are down 18 percent in 2008 versus 2007. The median sales price also fell from $160,000 to $129,000 so far this year.
