Radiologist buys Clayton 4BD

Dr. Catherine M. Appleton and her husband, Takanobu M. Yanagimoto, bought a four-bedroom, 2.5-bath home at 8001 Daytona Dr. in Clayton's Davis Place for $575,000 from Michael Dueker and his wife, Alicia, on July 8.

The 2,470-square-foot house was built in 1929.

Dr. Appleton practices radiology at Washington University Medical Center, where she specializes in breast imaging.

She received her B.S. and M.D. degrees from the University of Florida.

Home sales in Clayton have increased 5.6 percent thus far in 2008. The median sale price, however, has dropped from $511,000 in 2007 to $376,000 so far this year.
