KdG founder sells '60's-era Chesterfield 4BD

John R. Kuhlmann, Jr., and his wife, Dotty, sold a four-bedroom, 2.5-bath home at 104 Shady Valley Dr. in Chesterfield's River Bend Estates for $436,400 to Thomas E. Shepherd and his wife, So Kim, on July 8.

The 2,655-square-foot house was built in 1961.

Mr. Kuhlmann is the president and CEO of Kuhlmann Design Group, Inc., a full service architect/engineering firm with offices in St. Louis and Belleville, Ill., He founded the firm in 1974.

He is a past chairman of the Missouri Society of Professional Engineers, a local engineering society, and as past chairman and president of Urban Choice Coalition.

He graduated from Washington University.

There have been 318 sales in Chesterfield so far this year. Median sales price is at $320,750.
