Daniel P. Raedeke and his wife, Dionna, bought a four-bedroom, 2.5-bath home at 5 Beacon Hill Lane in Creve Coeur for $389,000 from Dennis O. Eilers and his wife, Elizabeth, on May 27.
The 2,276-square-foot house was built in 1953.
Mr. Raedeke is a St. Louis-based artist. His work had been exhibited in several galleries, including Bruno David Gallery, Laumeier Sculpture Park, Kroma and The Gallery, all in St. Louis, as well as at Byron Roche Gallery in Chicago and New Wagner Gallery in Edwardsville, Ill.
He holds an M.F.A. in painting from Southern Illinois University.
Mrs. Raedeke is a co-founder of ART Edwardsville Alton Studio Tour and the Edwardsville Arts Center in Edwardsville, where she currently serves as director/secretary.
She has previously worked for four years at a St. Louis-based design company named Kiku Obata & Co. as a materials and research specialist.
She graduated from Southern Illinois University with a B.F.A. in ceramics and printmaking.
There have been 118 sales in Creve Coeur thus far in 2008. Median sales price is at $292,500 so far this year.
