Dr. Mark A. Checcone and his wife, Sarah, bought a four-bedroom, 3.5-bath home at 18 Stacy Dr. in Olivette for $766,000 from Barret Jackman and his wife, Jennifer, on June 3.

The Jackmans paid $639,000 for the property in June 2003.

The 3,315-square-foot house was built in 2000.

Dr. Checcone is an otolaryngologist and assistant professor of head and neck surgery at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. He is a clinician at Facial Plastic Surgery Center and at the Ear Nose and Throat Center of the Center for Advanced Medicine, both in St. Louis. His specialties include rhinoplasty, cosmetic procedures, cosmetic eyelid, forehead and cheek surgery, facial plastic and reconstructive surgery.

Dr. Checcone received a B.S. in biomedical engineering from Brown University in Providence, R.I., and an M.D. from Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio. He subsequently completed his otolaryngology residency at University of Miami-Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami and his facial plastic and reconstructive surgery fellowship at University of Illinois in Chicago.

There have been 99 sales in Olivette thus far in 2008. The median sales price is at $212,077 so far this year.
