Chris P. Varvares bought a two-bedroom, one-bath home at 30 Heather Hill Lane in Olivette for from Dublen Homes, Inc., $1.17 million on Sept. 17.
The 1,400-square-foot house was built in 1951.
Varvares has been the co-founder and president of Macroeconomic Advisers, an econometric consulting and research firm, and the director of the National Association of Business Economics.
He earned his B.A. in economics at the George Washington University and his graduate training in economics at the Washington University in St. Louis.
There have been 126 home sales in Olivette in 2008, with a median sales price of $225,000.
