Billikens asst. hoops coach spends $1.055M

Porter A. Moser and Megan P. Moser bought a four-bedroom, 5.5-bath home at 601 Essex Court in Kirkwood for $1.055 million from Thomas C. White and Barbara White on Oct. 10.

The two-story, 3,838-square-foot home was built in 2006.

Mr. Moser joined the St. Louis Billikens men's basketball coaching staff in 2007. Prior to the 2008-09 season was promoted to assistant head coach. The team went 16-15 last year.

In 1990, Mr. Moser received a degree in business management from Creighton University, where he was a two-year starter and helped the Bluejays to the 1989 MVC championship. He also served as a graduate assistant there before becoming an assistant coach with Texas A&M University in 1991.

He was also an assistant with the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and the University of Arkansas-Little Rock.

Mr. Moser was eventually named the head coach at Arkansas-Little Rock, and led them to a 54-34 record in three seasons. He then took a job as the head coach at Illinois State University, and in four seasons with the Redbirds he went 51-67.

There have been 475 sales in Kirkwood in 2008 for a median price of $197,375.
