Dr. George J. Dirkers bought a four-bedroom, 4.5-bath home at 26 N. Walling Dr. in Creve Coeur's Westland Estates from Deanna Bender for $1.225 million on Oct. 8.

The 4,580-square-foot house was built in 2001.

Dr. Dirkers an internist who sub-specializes in occupational medicine. He is affiliated with Christian Hospital Northeast in St. Louis and with Alton Memorial Hospital and St. Anthony's Health Center, both in Alton, Ill.

Dr. Dirkers received his M.D. from the St. Louis University School of Medicine and has completed his internal medicine residency at the University of Illinois College of Medicine.

There have been 200 sales in Creve Coeur in 2008 with a median price of $306,000.
