Dr. Nicholas Argyres and wife, Laura, bought a four-bedroom, 3.5-bath home at 38 Broadview Dr. in Clayton from Elvir Causevic and his wife, Belinda, for $875,000 on Oct. 6.
The Causevic's paid $865,000 for the property in May 2008. The 3,331-square-foot house was built in 1937.
Dr. Argyres is a professor of Strategy at the Olin Business School. He was previously an associate professor at the Boston University School of Management.
Prior to that, Dr. Argyres was an assistant professor at the Marshall School of Business and the University of Southern California. He graduated with a B.A. in Economics from UCLA in 1986 and earned his Ph.D. in Economics from the University of California, Berkeley in 1993.
Mr. Causevic is the founder and president of Everest Biomedical. He is also an assistant professor of applied mathematics at Yale University, and is involved in advanced academic DSP research.
Mr. Causevic holds a Doctor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Washington University in St. Louis.
There have been 180 sales in Clayton thus far in 2008, with a median sales price of $487,538.
