Laclede gas exec scores Ladue 4BD

Mark C. Darrell and his wife, Vivian, bought a four-bedroom, 3.5-bath home at 22 Briarcliff St. in Ladue from Tony Karakas for $1.075 million on Nov. 25.
The 4,870-square-foot house was built in 1947.
Mr. Darrell is a senior vice president and general counsel for Laclede Gas Co., a St. Louis-based natural gas distribution utility.
He is currently a member of the Energy Bar Association and is vice chair of the international energy and natural resources committee of the American Bar Association.
Mr. Darrell's career in the energy business spans more than 21 years, 11 of which was spent as in-house general counsel and assistant general counsel for several natural gas companies including NiSource Inc., Columbia Gas of Virginia, New Jersey Resources Corp., and American Gas Association.
He received a degree in political science from Syracuse University and a J.D. from the Georgetown University Law Center.
There have been 149 sales in Ladue in 2008, with a median price of $735,250.
